This months newsletter is a bit late, which tells you that I’ve been busy! What’s…
News from Korimako
Hi everyone,
It’s been a busy odd month at the studio. As well as battling a nasty virus, which slowed me down , I’ve taught two weekend workshops – which always involves a lot of preparation. Though they were two subjects which I hadn’t taught before , both were good fun in the end , despite the odd wild coughing spasm 🙂
I’m teaching just one more workshop this year – a Beginners Watercolour workshop on 4th/5th November, check my website workshop page for more info. After that I’ll be have a break from teaching until late autumn.
“Into the Mist” by Jan Thomson
Other news…
I’m delighted that my watercolour “Into the Mist” has been accepted as part of the Tasman Art Awards national exhibition , which opens on Saturday 23rd September at 7pm and runs for two weeks, it’ll be well worth a visit to Mapua to check this one out.
I’ve also been updating my website ART STORE , where you can now buy my 2024 Calendar , as well as prints and cards – and each month a different featured original painting.
I’m hoping now to have some time to settle down to paint, as I need to begin planning for a solo exhibition which is 23 months away – it sounds like a long time away but I have lot of paintings to complete for that one , which will involve a bit of travel hopefully too!
I’m always happy to see visitors if you’re coming through St.Arnaud. Korimako studio is open most days 10am- 4pm , so please call in and say hi!
